The competition debut of Light My Fire (Ready Cash), full brother to Bold Eagle, was the main attraction on Sunday in the provinces.
Twice starred by Province Courses l’Hebdo for his qualifying time of 1’17”2 on August 10 in Caen, the representative of Ecurie Hunter Valley left a big impression in Nantes with Eric Raffin. Quickly in front, this colt, fitted with a reinsman and a martingale with his ears well plugged, easily made the difference on a simple acceleration halfway down the finishing straight (1’17”8 over 2,275 metres for his final kilometer reduction). Ecurie Hunter Valley announced on its Facebook page that Light My Fire has big resources, without being really precocious and needing weight on the forelegs for the moment. LIGHT MY FIRE was the first foal to be included in the ‘Part de Rêve’ offer in February 2021. This first victory for this magnificently born colt must have put a smile on the faces of his many co-owners.
